Index (Readymade Sound Poetry) is part of a larger series of works, collectively called Volumes, or, A New Survey of Universal Knowledge. This project employed a variety of methods to destroy, damage or otherwise reconstitute the twenty-four volumes of the Encyclopedia Britannica (14th Edition, 1929). The result is a set of prototypes for books in alternative formats, including this version of Index.
